Responsible gambling research program

Gambling research undertaken in Queensland is designed to provide an evidence base for policy development. Research funded by the Government raises understanding of gambling activity and issues in Queensland and explores prevention, protection and rehabilitation measures.

Population and industry surveys

Research has included Queensland Household Gambling Surveys (most recently conducted in 2008-2009) and the Queensland Gaming Machine Venue Surveys (most recently conducted in 2008).

The Responsible Gambling Research Grants Program.

The purpose of the grants program is to elevate the quality and quantity of gambling related research in Queensland and contribute to the development of effective gambling policy in Queensland.
