The Queensland Responsible Gambling Strategy is based on a public health approach which views problem gambling as a complex issue requiring multiple solutions. It includes early intervention and prevention, consumer protection and rehabilitation initiatives.
Creating safer gambling environments
The Responsible Gambling Code of Practice is one of the strategies designed to promote responsible gambling practices by operators as well as ensuring that consumers are able to make informed decisions about gambling.
To help venues promote responsible gambling and create safer environments for their patrons the Queensland Government has developed a number of resources:
