Infringements

All liquor related infringement notices are payable within 28 days to Liquor Licensing.

The details of the liquor related offence are displayed on the ticket.

You can pay your infringement notice:

1. By phone on 1300 139 671.

You will need a current credit card (Visa or Mastercard only) to utilise this service and it is for full payment only. Upon acceptance of payment you will be issued a receipt number that you should record.

2. By mail (do not send cash)

Pay by cheque or money order, made payable to Queensland Treasury. Send the entire infringement notice with payment to:

Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing
Locked Bag 180
City East   Qld 4002

3. In person

Pay by cash, cheque, money order or credit card (Visa or Mastercard only) during the hours 8:30am - 4:30pm (Mon - Fri) at

Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing
Upper Plaza
33 Charlotte Street
Brisbane

Or by cash, cheque, money order or EFTPOS at any of the department's regional offices.

Fines are payable within 28 days of the issuing of the Infringement Notice. If mailing the payment, you will need to allow sufficient time for mail delivery. Extensions are not granted by the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing.

If the penalty is $200 or more you may apply to pay the fine by instalments under a Voluntary Instalment Plan (VIP).

If the penalty remains unpaid after the due date the outstanding amount will be registered for enforcement by the State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER) and a registration fee will be payable in addition to the fine.

Once the file is lodged with SPER they will make all efforts to have the fine finalised and this may result in a warrant being issued, incurring additional fees.

Voluntary Instalment Plan

To apply to pay by instalments you need to:

• Tick the box on the back of the yellow infringement notice
• Complete the details (name, address, signature and date)
• Forward the infringement notice to the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing with an initial instalment payment of at least $60.
• The file is then transferred to the State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER).

All future payments relating to VIP's are then made direct to SPER or can be paid at any court house throughout Queensland.

The VIP's do not incur any extra fees - the original fine amount stands.

If the infringement notice has been lost you will need to forward a signed written authority to enable the instalment plan to commence (including the notice number). If the notice number is not known, include your name, address, telephone contact number and date of birth.

An Instalment Plan Notice will be forwarded to you by SPER for payment of the balance. No further payments should be sent to the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing.
