Gaming Licensing
Gaming Licensing deals with licensing organisations and persons under all legislation administered by OLGR. It services clients such as companies, clubs, hoteliers, solicitors, consultants, charities and the general public. The Licensing activities constitute a significant component of OLGR function.
The main responsibilities include the investigation and licensing of:
- gaming nominees, gaming employees and gaming repairers
- key employees (casino, keno, lottery and wagering)
- casino employees
- manufacturers, licensed monitoring operator’s and service contractors
- gaming machine licences (hotel and club)
- oncourse wagering permits
- charitable and non-profit art union operators, bingo centres and lucky envelope printers
In addition Licensing are responsible for processing of:
- gaming machine increases and decreases
- gaming machine surrenders
- trading hour increases
Additional responsibilities include:
- secretarial duties to the Queensland Gaming Commission
- authorised sales (tenders) of gaming machine operating authorities
- advice on trade promotions, bingo and art unions
