Acknowledging Funding Support
Your organisation is encouraged to acknowledge the financial support received from the GCBF. In acknowledging this support, your organisation is informing the community about how public funding is spent.
You can acknowledge the funding received from the GCBF through a variety of strategies, some of these include:
Acknowledgment statements
Organisations that are funded for a project may use an acknowledgement statement (full or short) in printed materials associated with the funded activity and include information on the funded project in publications such as:
- annual reports
- newsletters
- brochures
- posters
- multimedia material including: websites, videos and CDROMS.
This statement may also appear in any publicity activities and materials, including:
- media releases and speeches associated with the funded activity
- speeches for a launch or official event
- invitations or registration brochures
- brochures
- posters
- conference programs
- event signage
- TV, radio and newspaper advertisements.
Below are statement options for use in printed materials, signage or speeches related to your funding project.

You may also wish to name the funded project or items purchased and add your organisation's name to this statement.

Logos and usage guidelines
Organisations funded for a project are encouraged to display the GCBF logo on printed material associated with the project, such as:
- annual reports
- newsletters, brochures, posters
- multimedia material
- vehicles, trailers, vans
- signage (including signage at event or launch activities)
- advertisements
Logo usage Guidelines
* The GCBF logo should always be taken from an original digital artwork file. Please do not attempt to recreate or redraw the Queensland Government symbol and associated text.
* The logo should be reproduced at a size that reasonably reflects the GCBF contribution. For example, if the GCBF provided the majority of funds, its acknowledgment should receive prominence over other contributors. Only where space is severely restricted is it permissible to use the minimum size of 20mm for the GCBF logo.
* When producing full colour publications, the full colour logo should be used. The full colour logo should be used on a white background wherever possible. Failing that, suitable light to mid-tone fields, illustrated and photographic backgrounds are acceptable.
* The entire logo should be clearly visible when reproduced.
* If material is going to be photocopied, sent by facsimile or produced in black and white, the 'mono line' (black and white) version of the logo should be used.
* If your organisation has received funding from more than one Queensland Government department for your project, you are required to acknowledge funding using a Queensland Government dominant logo. Please contact the CBFU to request a suitable Queensland Government logo.
The jpeg logo is for use in in-house/DIY publications.
Acknowledgment signage
Acknowledgement signage uses the acknowledgement statement and logo in a combined form.
To assist you with layout and wording, we have provided some signage examples (PDF 90 K).
