Every drink counts
Most people enjoy having a few drinks from time to time.
But there's a difference between having a couple of beers with your mates and writing yourself off every weekend.
So how do you make sure a good time doesn't turn bad?
For a start know the score. A bottle of one drink might contain twice the alcohol content of another. The fact is, it's up to you to keep count of how much you're drinking and know when to call it a day.
If you're unsure of how much alcohol is in your drink, check your drink's label. And remember, when you're at the pub or in a club, drink sizes can vary between venues. So if you're unsure, ask the bar staff. Counting your drinks will help you keep track of the amount of alcohol you've had to drink.
A standard drink contains 10 grams of pure alcohol. For more information, on what is a standard drink visit Australian Alcohol Guidelines section of the Federal Government’s Department of Health and Ageing.
