Corporate structure

Following the machinery-of-Government changes effective 26 March 2009, the corporate structure of the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing is as shown below.

Licensing Division

The Licensing Division is responsible for:

Licensing of persons and organisations under the various gaming, liquor, and wine acts having regard to the community interests.

Applications for changes to licence conditions, variations to hours of trading, alterations to the number of gaming machines in clubs/hotels, and other ancilliary approvals.

Providing assistance to the Queensland Gaming Commission.

Compliance Division

The Compliance Division is responsible for:

Compliance audits of liquor and gaming operators and inspections under the various liquor and gaming acts.

Complaints, investigations and prosecutions.

Probity investigations into the suitability of major participants in the gaming industry.

Risk assessment of liquor licence applicants.

Policy and Harm Minimisation Division

The Policy and Harm Minimisation Division is responsible for OLGR's policy, legislative and research functions including:

Indigenous policy.

The development and management of liquor and gambling harm minimisation and strategic communication programs.

The assessment and approval of game rules, operator control systems and gambling equipment.

Organisational Services Branch

OSB provides an operational support function to internal and external clients, as well as administering the Community Benefit Funds for OLGR. In particular, OSB provides the following services:

Financial and information management services.

Communications and information solutions.

Asset management and administrative services.

Community benefit funds management,

Legal advice.
